At Vacation Rental In A Box®, our pricing is built on real-world experience—what it truly takes (time, process, and deliverables) to complete a project the right way. We use flat-rate pricing instead of hourly billing so you’re not left guessing or watching the clock. The result is a clear investment you can plan around, with fewer surprises, and a process that stays focused on results: a great guest experience with durable, risk-managed design that drives owner profitability.


Consultations & E-Design Plan

Our consultations and E-Design Plans create the clarity you need to move forward with confidence. Consultations establish scope, priorities, and the information we need to design efficiently. Our E-Design Plans include curated mood boards, feedback, and may also include shoppable links for approved items for your short-term rental. This service is DIY-friendly, or you can choose professional installation through our logistics team.

Initial Consultation

$375 USD

30–60 minutes, in person or live video. Includes a project scope conversation, review of goals and design preferences, and confirmation of required measurements and photos after your questionnaire is completed.


If the consultation is in person, travel expenses may apply. 

Floor Plan Layout

$395 USD

This is a layout plan that shows the best placement for furniture and key items in each room—so the space flows well, functions better, and feels intentional for guests. Pricing is per room, with multi-room discounts available.

E-Design for 1 Room

$695 USD

Includes E-Design for one room. 

E-Design for up to 7 Rooms

$4632 USD

Includes E-Design for up to 7 rooms.  


For example: Living Room, Kitchen, Dining, and 3 Bedrooms or 2 Bedrooms + 1 Office. 

E-Design for up to 12 Rooms

$7645 USD

Includes E-Design for up to 12 Rooms.


For example: Living Room, Kitchen, Dining, Multiple Bedrooms and/or Flex Spaces. 

E-Design for 13 Rooms or More

Starting at $8132 USD

Includes E-Design for 13 or more rooms.

Each additional room is $595 per room.

STR Occupied Refresh & Refresh Plus

This is a budget friendly option for properties with existing furnishings that need minimal cosmetic updates.

Initial Consultation

$395 USD

This 30 to60-minute consultation takes place in person or via Zoom and is designed to set a clear, confident foundation for your project. We’ll walk through the overall scope, review design preferences, and confirm the measurements and photos needed to move seamlessly into the next phase. 

Refresh - Half Day

Starting at $995 USD

This service focuses on refreshing the space using the furnishings already in the property. During a three-hour on-site session, we make targeted cosmetic updates and styling adjustments to improve flow, function, and overall presentation. Shopping or sourcing of additional items is not included.  

Refresh - Full Day

Starting at $2095 USD

This service provides a more comprehensive refresh using existing furnishings and décor. A seven-hour on-site session, we refine layout, styling, and cosmetic details throughout the property to create a more cohesive, guest-ready look. Shopping or sourcing of additional items is not included.

Refresh Plus

Starting at $395 USD

Refresh Plus is an add-on to the Refresh service that covers the additional time needed to shop locally for finishing pieces that elevate the space (art, throw pillows, accessories, etc.). This service does not include a design board and is based on local sourcing.


Please note: Purchases are not included in the service price. If a design board is needed for approvals or a more defined plan, it can be added for an additional fee.

Seasonal Refresh

Starting at $395 USD

Simple, repeatable guidance for rotating décor and amenities seasonally without re-designing the entire space.

Bath & Kitchem Remodel E-Design + Wall Color Strategy

High-impact spaces deserve strategic design. These services focus on kitchens, baths, and color decisions that influence guest perception, photography, and booking confidence—without overcomplicating the process. All options are DIY-friendly, with professional support available when needed.

 Includes mood boards, design direction, contractor coordination, and shoppable links for a kitchen that performs visually, functionally, and financially. 

Whole-Property Paint Color Consultation

Starting at $595 USD

 A comprehensive color strategy using color psychology, color theory, current trends, and guest demographics to recommend cohesive, performance-driven color selections throughout the property. 

Wallpaper + Mural Design Strategy

Starting at $295 USD

A focused design service to identify the right wallpaper or mural applications for your property using guest demographics, visual impact, scale, durability, and placement strategy. Includes curated recommendations, usage guidance, and links for purchasing approved selections.


Installation is not included. Coordination with installers can be added as a separate service.


Accessibility & Usability Audit (Exterior + Interior)

This is a design-led audit focused on how real people move through, access, and use a property—from arrival to daily living. Accessibility is part of the lens, but usability goes further, addressing comfort, clarity, safety, and real-world function for a wide range of guests. This service is informed by our collaboration with ParkingNSites, bringing added insight into arrival experience, wayfinding, and exterior access—bridging the gap between how guests arrive and how they experience the space

Exterior Audit

$125 USD

Includes:

-  Arrival experience and parking-to-entry flow (informed by ParkingNSites insights)
- Walkways, surfaces, and transitions
- Steps, thresholds, and entry points
- Exterior lighting and visibility
- Outdoor living and gathering areas

Many of our specialty services can be bundled for added value and a more streamlined design process. Bundled services are ideal for larger projects, multi-space updates, or owners who want a more comprehensive, end-to-end approach while keeping budgets efficient. Listing Performance Audit (Virtual)

$395 USD

Camera-first and functionality review to improve how your space photographs and converts online. Includes visual hierarchy, angles, focal points, and common booking friction points.

Target Demographic Guest Audit (1 hour)

$395 USD

Recommended for pre-existing listings already live/on the market or newly purchased furnished properties. In this one-hour session, we review your current setup and identify targeted changes to better match your ideal guest (families, couples, corporate, medical, relocation, etc.). You’ll leave with clear, practical recommendations to improve comfort, usability, and booking appeal—without starting from scratch. 

STR → MTR Design Adjustment (1 Hour)

$395 USD

Recommended for live STR listings or newly purchased furnished properties that need to perform better for mid-term stays. In this one-hour session, we pinpoint the design shifts that make longer stays actually livable—work zones, storage, lighting, durability, routine-friendly function, and amenity gaps. You’ll get a focused action plan to support steadier bookings, fewer pain points, and better retention. 


Styling + Setup Support

Photo Day Styling & Shot Coordination

$395 USD

On-site pre-photo styling, final placement adjustments, and shot guidance to ensure your listing photographs exactly as intended. Travel expenses may apply. 

Owner DIY Install Guidance

$395 USD

Real-time coaching to help owners install, style, and prioritize correctly when installing themselves. 

Complimentary Vendor Coordination (Limited)

Included with design services as a courtesy. We can coordinate scheduling and basic communication with one vendor for a clearly defined task (ex: art hanging or wallpaper installation).


Not included: supervision, payment handling, troubleshooting, change orders, or responsibility for vendor performance. Additional coordination can be added if needed.
